Dream Theater frontman James LaBrie releases his first solo album in five years. It’s titled Static Impulse, and will be put out by InsideOut Music on September 27. Mixed by Jens Bogren, it features Marco Sfogli (guitar), Matt Guillory (keyboards), bassist Ray Riendeau (Halford) and drummer/vocalist Peter Wildoer (Darkane).

Sweden’s Spiritual Beggars finally return to the spotlight with their first new studio album in five years, “Return To Zero”. Once again, the ‘Beggars effortlessly manage to confirm they are a band that continues to defy musical boundaries and that delivers classic heavy rock at its very best!
The artwork of the upcoming album is done by the well known Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes. On the Spiritual Beggars myspace page the band uploaded a short audio sample of the new album as a pre-listening teaser. The Swedish Band Spiritual Beggars featuring guitarist Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass) and bassist Sharlee D’Angelo (Arch Enemy, Witchery) started working with Apollo Papathanasio (Firewind) as a new singer after parting ways with JB (Grand Magus) and finished the recordings of their 7th studio-album at Sweetspot Studio with producer Rickard Bengtsson, who already produced the “On Fire” (2002) and “Demons” (2005) albums and is also known for his work with Arch Enemy, Opeth etc.
The multi instrumentalist and French music mastermind Nicolas Chapel finished his new Demians album named “Mute”, which will be released throughout Europe on June 28th and in the USA on August 10th 2010! The first pressing will come as a limited 6-panel pocket pack with a die-cut cover, matt black & gold varnish and a special sized booklet.

Shadow Gallery announced that they will be the headliner on Saturday, October 2nd at ProgPower Europe 2010. After the successful release of “Digital Ghosts” in November 2009 via InsideOut Records, the band is set to bring their epic progressive rock music to the stage.
Shadow Gallery, known purely as a studio band until this point, has released 6 albums while the members juggled other music-related jobs and careers with their recordings. After the lost of their original singer Mike Baker in October 2008 due to a sudden heart attack, the band vowed to honor their fallen band mate and the fans who loved him by moving forward. They found singer Brian Ashland who stepped in to add his own graceful style to “Digital Ghosts”.
Additionally, Pain of Salvation have also just finished works for their upcoming studio album release, “Road Salt Ivory”, and Gildenlöw comment as follows:
“The first part of ‘Road Salt’ is finished – mixed, mastered and delivered! It is a 12 track album of sweaty grovel, asphalt butterflies, untreaded paths and brave decisions. It will be presented to the world in one standard edition and one limited director’s cut, of which we of course recommend the latter one. See, as usual, we refuse to add some stuff haphazardly to put together a limited product - we always see the larger version as the “real” one; the one that makes us the proudest. The release is scheduled for May…”
